Eric Tye, DDS
Dr. Eric Tye grew up right here in Macomb, Michigan. He graduated valedictorian from Notre Dame Preparatory high school and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Science with High Honors from Lyman Briggs College at Michigan State University. He went on to attend the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, graduating in 2016. Dr. Tye married his high school sweetheart, Melissa, shortly after graduating from dental school. The Tyes now live in Rochester Hills where they are raising their three sons.
Dr. Tye has a passion for developing genuine, trusting relationships with his patients and providing personalized treatment plans to help meet their goals. He regularly takes continuing education courses to stay current on the latest treatment techniques and innovations.
Dr. Tye maintains membership in the American Dental Association®, the Michigan Dental Association, the Macomb Dental Society, the International Association for Orthodontics, and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
In his free time, Dr. Tye enjoys playing board games with his sons, running, golfing and playing tennis.
David M. Kolakowski, DDS
Dr. David Kolakowski has been practicing dentistry in Macomb County for over 35 years. He is a 1988 graduate of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, “Go Blue”! Dr. Kolakowski maintains membership in the American Dental Association®, the Michigan Dental Association, the Macomb Dental Society, and the Delta Sigma Delta International Dental Fraternity. He has served as a member of the Peer Review Committee for the Macomb Dental Society and as a volunteer for the Michigan Dental Association’s Mission of Mercy event.
While Dr. Kolakowski practices all phases of general dentistry, his main interests involve orthodontics and dental implant reconstructions, areas in which he has pursued years of additional education.
“Dave” and his wife Julie have resided in Macomb for over 30 years and feel blessed to have had the opportunity to live and practice in the same community. They consider our patients friends and members of our extended family. When he is not in the office, Dr. K. can be found out on the water boating, in the woods hunting, riding his bike or banging on the drums.
Tia VanSuilichem, DDS
Dr. Tia VanSuilichem is excited to be a part of the team at Tye Family Dentistry and help patients achieve their best smiles. Born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Dr. VanSuilichem attended Ferris State University where she played soccer and earned her Bachelor of Science degree. After graduating with honors she attended the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, where she developed a passion for restorative and cosmetic dentistry.
She maintains membership in the American Dental Association® and the Michigan Dental Association. She values the importance of patient relationships and takes the time to understand each individual’s concerns and goals for their oral health.
In her free time, Dr. VanSuilichem loves to stay active by going on walks and attending workout classes. She also is an avid reader and has a beloved cat named Pina.
